freespots is an initiative of the Saint John Board of Trade as of January 2009 and relaunched under the guidance of a planning and advisory committee in October 2009. The committee is made up of the following active members:

freespots was developed by a committee of propel in 2006. The committee was comprised of the following very active members and supporters of a cooperative "digital city" in the Saint John region:
